Trans Texas CorridorThe mission of the CBWC is to promote the protection and wise use of Waller County natural and rural resources to ensure a healthy quality of life for all residents.

We are working on several campaigns to inform residents in Waller County about issues that are important to our mission. The most important issue at this time is the Trans Texas Corridor I-69 (TTC 69). Download/View TTC69 Recommended Corridor map.

PERRY'S PICKS FOR TEXAS TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION HIGHLIGHT COMMITMENT TO TOLL ROADS

A week after Gov. Rick Perry said in a speech that he’ll fight to keep toll roads at the center of any plans to solve Texas’ transportation needs, he proved it by naming his former chief of staff to lead the Texas Transportation Commission. Read more

Each day, I make the dreaded drive down Interstate 35 to go to work in Fort Worth. Each day, I slug through the snarl and sludge of ceaseless traffic, which intensifies my growing desire to commit hari-kari, or at least incites a vehement curse of the highway gods. Certainly, we in Texas need more lanes, more roads, more rails, more something to deal with the ever-expanding urban population and growing international commerce. Yet how do we solve our transportation needs without carving up the countryside like some congratulatory cake? Or should the construction of a superhighway-rail-utility corridor even concern us?  Read more
